This page explains our privacy practices in plain English. It is information about how WaddleNav works — not legal advice.
Who we are
WaddleNav (also written Waddle Nav) is a US-based mobile navigation app for golf carts, low-speed vehicles (LSVs), and neighborhood electric vehicles (NEVs) on iOS and Android. The app and this website are provided by WTE Solutions (WTE.net).
When this policy says “we,” “us,” or “our,” it means WaddleNav / WTE Solutions.
Information we collect
What we collect depends on how you use the app and the website. We do not collect more than we need to run the service.
Precise location
WaddleNav is a navigation app. With your permission, we collect precise location from your device — including while you are actively navigating — so we can show where you are, build routes, warn you about roads that are not LSV-friendly, and find places nearby. Location is core to the product. If you turn it off, search, routing, and turn-by-turn navigation will not work as intended.
Device information
We may collect information such as device type, operating system and version, app version, language, time zone, crash reports, and identifiers that help the app run and help us diagnose problems.
Account information (if you create an account)
You can use core navigation without buying anything. If you create an account, we collect the details you provide, which may include your name, email address, and similar profile information. Website forms (for example Club alerts, dealer, rental, or trade-show signups) may also collect name, email, ZIP code, and the notes you submit.
Usage and diagnostics
We may collect information about how the app and website are used — for example, which features you open, route-planning events, error logs, and performance data — so we can fix bugs and improve the product. This website may use cookies or similar tools (including analytics tags) to understand traffic and keep pages working.
Payments
Optional paid features, including the Waddle Club premium subscription, are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google process those payments. We do not collect or store your credit card or debit card number.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide navigation, maps, and turn-by-turn directions
- Build and score routes that try to stay on roads posted at 35 mph or less (safety / LSV routing)
- Search nearby places and show hours, address, and distance
- Operate accounts, Club alerts, and optional Waddle Club features if you use them
- Improve the app, maps, and website, including diagnostics and support
- Respond to questions and partner or signup requests
- Meet legal, security, and safety requirements
We do not use your location to sell you ads from data brokers, and we do not build advertising profiles to sell to others.
We do not sell or rent personal data
We do not sell or rent your personal information, including your location. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are used under California law. See Your US state privacy rights below.
When we share information
We share information only in limited cases:
- Service providers. Vendors that help us run WaddleNav — for example map, routing, and places providers; hosting; email or form tools; and analytics — receive only what they need to do that work, under contract, and are not allowed to use it for their own unrelated purposes.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if we believe it is required by law, a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of WaddleNav, our users, or others.
- Business transfer. If we merge, sell, or transfer assets, information may move with the business. We would expect the new operator to honor this policy or give you notice of changes.
- Apple and Google. If you subscribe to Waddle Club, Apple or Google handles billing. They have their own privacy policies for App Store and Play purchases.
We do not sell your information to third parties, and we do not rent mailing lists.
Location permissions and controls
Your phone’s operating system asks before the app can use location. You can allow location while using the app, allow it only once, or deny it. You can change this later in iOS or Android Settings.
If you turn location off, WaddleNav cannot provide live navigation, LSV-aware routing, or nearby-place search that depends on where you are. Other pages of the app or website that do not need location may still work.
You can also reset advertising or analytics identifiers in your device settings, and you can stop using the app at any time.
Free app and Waddle Club
WaddleNav is a free app. You do not need a subscription to search, plan, and navigate.
Waddle Club (also called WaddleClub) is an optional paid premium tier delivered as an in-app subscription. Billing, renewal, and cancellation are managed through your Apple or Google account — not by us taking a card number. To change or cancel a subscription, use the App Store or Google Play subscription settings on your device.
If you subscribe, we may receive a confirmation that your account is entitled to Club features (for example, an Apple or Google purchase receipt or entitlement). That is not your full payment card details.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Location used for live navigation is processed to provide the current trip. We do not keep a long-term advertising history of where you have been.
- Account and Club entitlement data is kept while your account or subscription is active, and for a short period afterward if we need it for support, billing disputes, or legal records.
- Support emails and form submissions are kept as long as needed to respond and operate the business.
- Diagnostics and logs are typically kept for a limited period to debug issues, then deleted or aggregated.
When we no longer need personal information, we delete it or de-identify it so it no longer reasonably identifies you.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No app, website, or transmission is 100% secure. Please keep your device and store accounts locked and up to date.
Children’s privacy
WaddleNav is a navigation product for drivers of street-legal golf carts, LSVs, and NEVs. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. That is consistent with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us using the details below and we will take steps to delete it.
Your US state privacy rights
If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law — including California (CCPA/CPRA), and similar laws in states such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others — you may have rights over personal information we hold about you. Depending on the law that applies, those rights can include:
- Access / know. Ask what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it.
- Delete. Ask us to delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct. Ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide a way to opt out.
- Non-discrimination. We will not deny the free app, charge a different price for the same service, or otherwise discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Precise geolocation can be treated as sensitive personal information under some state laws. We use it to provide the navigation, routing, and nearby-places features you request — not to sell it.
To make a request, email bill@waddlenav.com with the subject line “Privacy request” and tell us what you need (access, deletion, or correction). We may need to verify that we are talking to the right person. You may also use an authorized agent where your state law allows it. If we decline a request, we will explain why and how you can appeal, if an appeal right applies.
We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because there is no consistent industry standard for them. We do honor the choices described in this policy, including location permissions on your device.
How to delete your account or data
To delete your WaddleNav account and related personal data, email bill@waddlenav.com from the address associated with your account (if you have one) and ask us to delete it. We will delete or de-identify personal information we control, except where we must keep a limited record (for example, to complete a transaction, detect fraud, or comply with law).
Turning off location or uninstalling the app stops new collection from that device, but it does not by itself delete an account you already created. Canceling Waddle Club is done in Apple or Google subscription settings; canceling does not always delete your whole account, so send a deletion request if that is what you want.
If the app later includes an in-app delete-account control, you can use that as well. Until then, email is the way to request deletion.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page and post the updated policy at waddlenav.com/privacy/. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required, such as an in-app message or a notice on the website. Continued use of the app or site after an update means the new policy applies to that use going forward.
